Avenue Q is of the squee. So much of the squee. Laughed our socks off.

Trekkie Monster is our hero, and 'The Internet is for Porn' is so our theme song. Also needs to be made into a multi-fandom vid, yes it does. The bit where Kate Monster says 'but normal people don't do that!' and Trekkie Monster turns round and just stares at the audience. Audience : silence and nervous giggles. Our row : coughing fits.

All of the songs - everything from 'Everyone's a Little Bit Racist' to Schadenfreude are so, so true.

We do, however, need to kill

jamjar. Whilst stage door-stalking, and the guy who played Trekkie Monster came out, we got photo with whilst squeeing to him and Jenn, who had the camera, said 'Well, that was how we met' whilst we were discussing how much fun the internet is for porn song. Cue the look and reaction on the photo. Where we're all cracking up. And the actor's gaping slightly. (he was in the middle of trying to look cool. Bad Jenn!)

Naoko Mori came out, and we all fangirled something chronic. Geek girls rule. Apparently Uncle Rusty definitely did get a thoughtful look on his face about musical bits in Torchwood, and she dreads it. And yes, she's with us on Tosh having more lines in S2.

In conclusion : muppets on stage rock. Singers brilliant, though it was a bit odd when Lucy the Slut and Kate Monster had lines together, because you had one actress manipulating Lucy the Slut and one manipping Kate Monster on different sides of the stage - and one actress doing the lines. That and it's pretty interesting to have a show that has practically zero dance sequences unless you count them bouncing around and the Gary Coleman character doing a Black and White Minstrel piss-take dance step for all of two seconds.
