travel quiz thingy

burntcopper1. Have you ever traveled outside your own country? If so, where have you gone?
:scratches head: depends what you mean by own country. Born in Indonesia, but Great Britain's the one I've got the citizenship for and live in, so... anyway.
:deep breath: France, Malta, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Portugal, Menorca, Italy, Germany, Austria, Egypt, Singapore, Australia, USA, Indonesia (doesn't really count) The Gilbert and Ellis Islands (Tuvalu, Fiji, Nauru, many others) and several other places I was too young to remember.
2. What are some of your favorite cities in your own country?
London. Newcastle. Haven't actually been to that many cities, as such.
3. Where would you not want to go again?
No bad travel experiences here, though I could probs list some truly dreadful small towns I've been in if I could remember their names. Oh, I know. A two-house combo in France where the owners were utter bastards.
4. Where have you been that you would love to visit again?
Las Vegas. new York. Amsterdam. Actually, I'd love to go pretty much everywhere I've been again. Except the Loire Valley.
5. If you were given three weeks off work and an all-expenses paid trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Gah. Don't ask me questions like that. It's a toss-up between strange places in the US, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Thailand and several little tropical islands in the Pacific.
6. Where is the most romantic place you've ever been?
Romantic...errr.... ask me that one again. Pretty, or stylish, or hectic, but I've never really rated anywhere as romanitc.
7. What is your favorite travel memory?
Too many to mention.
8. If a friend came to visit you in your home town, where would you take them?
The cinema. Reading is *not* a town of interesting things. It's just a place to live and work. Some countryside that looks like a Constable painting, a knocked-down abbey that they put Shakespeare on in the summer, and a copy of the Bayeaux tapestry. Our only real claim to fame is the music festival.
