Somehow, somewhere, a duck is watching you.
I've never been quite sure if I suffer from anatidaephobia. It certainly makes more sense as a phobia than arachnaphobia in the UK (arachnaphobia being, of course, an entirely valid phobia if you live in Australia). Claire a couple of seats down from me informs me that she suffers from the version of anatidaephobia that involves squirrels and pigeons. :ponders: Which is probably rather valid when living in a big city.
Yesterday's open air theatre experience : ...we got to Lady Macbeth's speech before it was called off due to not being able to hear the words due to the rain drumming on the umbrellas, anoraks and stage (impressive foresight, judging the tiering so that the person in front of you can be sheltering under a brolly and you still have an uninterrupted view of the stage). Went to shelter temporarily in the bar, were there about half an hour before they admitted defeat, and of course it was Soddes' Law that we left, and less than five minutes after that it completely cleared up. Clouds clearing to reveal sky and everything. :casts beady eye at the Met Office: We can exchange the tickets for another performance, though we won't get to see Macbeth since it's finishing this week. Oh well. Was looking forward to seeing Peter Duncan do serious drama and Macduff hadn't got on stage yet by that point. I've only seen him do Buttons before, and as several other theatregoers put it, it requires no imagination *whatsoever* to imagine him in that role.
quack.

got replacements yesterday evening and there was some poor foolish sod getting standby for that evening. I looked at the sky (and the fact that the brolly was up not more than two minutes before) and commented that he was brave. And would indeed have got rained out considering the weather that evening.

Come on, I was obviously going to do that. ;)

Think about it... has anyone on Neighbours died because they were bitten by a spider?
