more work ranting :
Sep. 4th, 2007 02:14 pmHi, _insert dept here_, you consistently lose our paperwork that we send you to make sure corrections get done and then whine that you have no paperwork for it. And then when I go ask what precisely you're doing with it since you lose it so bloody often, you just shrug and giggle. You're fun people and you rarely take things seriously. However, when it's to do with work that we have to re-do because you're losing it so often and because you're consistently slip-shod, it's not cute. It's not funny. It's pissing us off. This prompted me, after having to re-do four sets of corrections this morning, to walk into ed production main bit and go 'Right, commandment from above* : from now on, everything gets photocopied.' Photocopying? Had previously only been done on one bit, implemented as a last resort because they so often lost that bit. We should not be having to make back-ups of everything we do just to cover your sloppiness. If nothing else, it's a waste of paper. _insert deity here_ only knows how much of a screw-up it would be if the majority of corrections were still done on paper as they used to be. The statement 'from now on, all communication will be done in the style of Buster Keaton and The Mask as interpretive dance' has been used several times this morning since it's the only way to cut down on possible swearing and dentists' bills.
...Not happy, Drums.
*above being me, since I set the rules/baselines/how to on this section because i know how everything works.
