Hootenanny
Jan. 1st, 2008 02:34 amWatched Jules Holland for new Year.
And dear lord. Kylie is quite clearly the utter, utter successor to the Marilyn Monroe and all that type when it comes to singing - charming everyone (especially David Tennant) all over the place, lying on the piano to sing to Jules, early on, and then her last song? 'I Should Be So Lucky' with Jules on piano , slowed right down and done as a lounge song. Gorgeous. Really.
Also there : madness, Kate nash, Duffy, a couple of people I can't remember their names, Kaiser Chiefs, Mika, Lulu, Paul mcCartney and some old bloke singing bluegrass. Kylie and Madness had most number of songs to sing.
Oh, and John Simm, Jackie Stewart, Lenny Henry, Dawn French, Imelda Staunton, Bernie Ecclestone and a host of mad characters. That was one of those gigs that looks way too much fun to be at.
