Who here uses Thunderbird? Any good? Better/worse/the same as outlook? How easy is it to transfer everything over?

I used Thunderbird before I switched to Mac. It works fine, and doesn't suffer from some of the vulnerabilities that Outlook does. There's a comparison here, for example. It's dead easy to transfer mail and addresses to Thunderbird (see here), but trickier to transfer the other way if you change your mind...

1. Yes.

2. Wayyyy superior to Outlook

3. Transferability should be doable. You might need assistance from [hot] computer geek!

I use Thunderbird at work. I like it, and I've found it generally very useful and user-friendly. I used Outlook at my previous job, and liked that too; I haven't found any particular differences between the two in terms of one being better or worse than the other, and it's been long enough that I don't remember the details of how they differ. But I like Thunderbird, yeah.

I have no idea about transferring things over, though, sorry.
