boobs, plotbunnies and bouncy castles

in light of so many people on my flist recently having their bosoms re-measured...

Have known for a good months or so that I've changed, or at least gone down a cup size. So in light of this, finally grabbed a tape measure and measured ribcage. Which has gone down to 31 and 1/2 inches. (previously was a 34C) So, I'm a 32 there... er. can anyone remember the cup calculation thingy?

derryderrydown is suffering from rampant plotbunnies. Go and encourage her, for she has Jack Harkness as one of Tommy's officers in WW1. Feed the angst! The stuff Jack was specifically trying not to let on! It is your duty! (she's also trying to resist Billy Prior/Blackadder crossovers, too, but feels there would either be no sex or 'oh, this is just like what we did to the fags* at Eton' from George and therefore frustrate Billy something chronic.)

*fags in context of public school = younger boys who got assigned to prefects and sixth form as personal servants. Buggery is sadly entirely optional in this case... :tilts head: huh. Tim from Dr Who - was he at fagging age or was he too old? I wasn't sure what form he was meant to be in, because my brain will still not process that Thomas Sangster is now 17. not 12. The baby face does not help.

oooo, and how perfect would a Torchwood/Hamish Macbeth crossover be? We *deserve* pipe-smoking doctors and dope-smoking coppers and mad, mad locals (historical recreations with added bouncy castles optional) in Torchwood stories. hmm. Perhaps we could do a plotbunny drop on tw_history since it would take place pre-Canary Wharf...

If he was fighting in 1914, he really should have been 16/17 at that point, although he was treated very much as a fag. (Being beaten by another pupil, rather than a master, etc.)

Then again, I can't remember if they gave a date for the battle scene. It certainly looked far more 1917 than 1914 but I think expecting anything approaching historical accuracy from Who is a foolish endeavour.

To calculate cup size...

1. Measure round your rib cage just under your breasts.

2. Measure again, but up and over the fullest bit of your breasts. There should be a difference, even if you're built like Keira Knightley! 1 inch difference per cup size.

Hmm, isn't there an extra stage, I forget the details but something like measure rib cage then add 3 or 4 inches to the measurement to get an even number and that is the bra-size. Which is why you might *not* get a difference between that number and the measurement around the bust - in which case I think you come out as an AA cup, with A for one inch difference etc. But I'm doing this from memory - your average clothing catalogue/website probably has the accurate answers.
