Watched the first couple of eps of Spaced. Confused Heather is confused. I giggled a couple of times, but mostly vaguely confused. Er. Does it get better/more coherent? I like Brian...
Yes, it gets better ... it does help if you recognise a good percentage of the shows/films etc. that are referenced in it, a proper fannish/geek show written and performed by people who understand what it is like to be my friends :-)
As I recall the third episode "Art" is... interesting. I don't know about coherent, but it does have David Walliams as a transgendered performance artist called Vulva, which is a must-see. :-)
In the 'confused-but-enjoying-anyway' stakes, it doesn't really get any better, but you kinda get used to it. Personally, I think you need to watch it through a couple times to really appreciate it...
Spaced is completely brilliant, but to answer your question, no it doesn't get any more coherent. Just go with the ride and don't think about it..really..like panto!
Was more trying to find some coherency in it. I love and adore Black Books and Chuck and Shaun of the Dead and other made by geeks stuff, and I get all the references in Spaced, more confused by it.
