Dunno how long it'll last, but making an effort to declutter in general. Space. Stuff that collects dust.

I already made the resolution last autumn to not buy dvds I'm not going to watch, even if they are on sale.

1st jan : went through jewellery boxes, pulled out all the stuff from my teens I'm never going to wear again.

2nd Jan : my family're already recycling junkies, but it always surprises me how many bits of random packaging and receipts and clothing tags you can unearth from odd corners of your room. recycling and bin. two bloody bag's worth, it turns out....

3rd jan : remember how I went from a 34B to a 30DD? I was poking around in my underwear draw and.... oh christ. my bras are still in there. I heard Oxfam will take them, so there they go...

maybe I'll even manage to do a massive ebay on my comics sometime.

I'm patiently waiting for an ebay free listing day to attempt to declutter some more things.

Oh the jewellery - do save some of your little-girl stuff for a someday-maybe-daughter. I can't tell you how much I adore seeing mine wear the necklace I got for my seventh birthday. And I had to wait 38 years for her - she was quite a surprise.

...aside from it negating the uncluttering purpose?

I didn't wear jewellery as a child. this is all the horrible-choice cheapo teen stuff. No emotional connection whatsoever.
