Have a twitter account. burntcopper. updates almost certainly intermittent and useless.

99% I grabbed it just because of paranoia over someone else getting my identity (I'm still peeved over gmail).

I grabbed mine because of my geekbrief podcast that keeps on about twitter. Thought I should at least see what all the fuss is about and seeing who's actually bothering to use it. Seems pretty much a FaceBook status equivalent, but as I can't get on FaceBook at work any more...

Not sure why I joined up - I think it was to keep up with the Radio 1/Red Nose stuff they linked there, but other wise was pointless as can't get on it at work, but can get on most everything else.

BTW, it doesn't recognise your username in a search...

I found the same problem. So I search with it again and it worked. Very strange!

Twotter is ridiculously compulsive, only went on there due to a couple of friends finding it easier to keep up with than fbook. Stephen Fry tweets so prettily, it's a joy to read.

I like it better already. No-one is attempting to werewolf bite me or asking me to rate them.

facebook appears to be best as a giant calendar or invites thing. if they'd strip out all the bloody werewolf bite gadgets, i wouldn't mind it.
