:sulk: new office appears to have completely stopped access to iplayer. Can't even get access
to listen again. Want my mashup on a monday morning!
weekend : pubmeet fun. Not much gossip, aside from the 'who supposedly hates who'.
Appears no-one likes Dollhouse. One less reason for me to watch it. Apparently the US ads for it are currently saying 'keep watching, it will get better'. Er. no. There are other programs. other things to do. Your audience is not going to hang on. You're on your 7th ep and it's still not any good? Oh, and Sean Harry of all people is going 'This is leaving a bad taste in my mouth and it's misogynistic'. That's when you know the premise is dodgy. On the subject of Joss, apparently Scifi wanted Firefly after Serenity bombed, but Joss was going 'No, I'm only working in film and no-one touches my toys unless I have complete control over it!' And whining about Fox screwing stuff up is sounding somewhat hollow since they've done far more risky stuff which is good. There's a common denominator here and it ain't Fox.
Chuck cancellation rumours - nothing definite to say either way, it's a bloody big set, and it's probs more likely contract negotiations at end of second season that's causing it.
Did have audience tickets to Tonight's the Night, but the prospect of standing around from 3 for doors open at 5:30 and start at 7:30, with a proposed 3 hour running time, and sunday trains on top of that, plus it being cold... gave 'em to Smitty.
Heat rash on platform. Body, stop being stupid. Seriously, the resultant shivering and chattering teeth is not fun.

Date: 2009-03-30 12:59 pm (UTC)Also, they haven't really revealed the *point* of the Dollhouse - their missions all seem to be fairly mundane. Are the ultimate bosses in it just to make lots of cash? Surely there's an easier way?
Oh well, I'll probably keep watching anyway.

Date: 2009-03-30 04:09 pm (UTC)I mean, I can take or leave Eliza Dushku and the main plot, but the supporting characters are much more interesting and, hey, you know me, I'm always down for good hand-to-hand fight scenes and Special Agent Crazyass is good for a lot of them.
...okay, in hindsight, it's probably a bad sign when I don't give a damn about the main character or the rest of the dolls; it's how the people are reacting that's much more interesting.
