sandals broke on way to station. Had to get emergency flip-flops at paddington. haven't worn traditional flip-flops in a couple of years, forgot how comfy they are - and in light of [livejournal.com profile] birdsflying's thing about them, a poll!

I've had both comfy & non-comfy ones.
I think it depends what they're made of/what shape they are.

in that case, I rec the accessorise ones. preferably in the sale. i was grumbling about having to pay a tenner for flip-flops, got to the counter and they were a fiver.

It's not the skin-shredding so much, but I get trapped nerves in my feet when wearing toe-post sandals and that is super-painful.

The only pair of flip-flops I've ever had that have been comfortable are the ones I got from H&M this year that cost me £2.99. I went back to stock up and they'd already sold out. I was devastated!

recommend FitFlops, v pricey, but massively comfortable when you're on the flat-footed side...and as a bonus you tone your calf muscles while you walk.

Just got some croc flops in the sale & they're equally comfy, though the toepost is a bit harsher.

Girlier ones I like are in Tesco.
