Me and
snowballjane, whilst desperately resisting the charms of Fopp (
megolas and
jamjar had gone in search of vinyl), started doing commentary on the various dvds. '...I think I own that one.' 'I bought that - great film, but only ever watched it once.' 'I'd like to see it, but have no urge to buy it.' 'Oh, I've got it, I must lend it to you.' 'I have way too many dvds that I still haven't watched.'
And then Jane mentioned the London bookswap. How feasible do you think it would be to do it with dvds? All those ones you bought and watched once. Or bought and don't really like. or the doubles. (the ones you could have sworn you didn't have then found you bought it two years ago.) The one that you bought the extra-shiny special edition of when that came out. The present from the relative who has no idea about your tastes.
Also, how childish is it to leave Catullus hanging over your screen when you go out for lunch/have it on your screen whilst waiting for stuff to load? Yep. thought so.
