First,
crepe_suzette explains what Torchwood Three really are : Dad's Army. No, really. And thus actually makes them sound so much more convincing and explains *so much*.
Second. Arrgh. I was hoping for a stress-free evening - it started that way. Jack/Ianto porn, the musicals bits from Children in Need (and Holby City were so much more fantastic than the actual musicals, aside from Connie in Sound of Musicals. So. Must. See. Well, and the BBC newsreaders. But they're always bloody inspired.)
And then I found out why darkisrising.net's mail was giving me error messages on mailwasher. Cue franticness, fury, and tearing out of hair :
:sigh: due to invoices never reaching me, darkisrising.net's domain didn't get renewed on time. The hosting's all paid up, but the name was held by someone else. spent the evening getting it sorted and paid. Now just have to get the nameservers re-directed. Hopefully I won't have to re-load everything and http://darkisrising.net/slash will be back up by the weekend. On the other hand, this is efiction we're talking. gah.
Also, it might possible help if I went and installed terrapin (my lovely, sleek, no frills ftp program I paid 20 quid for back in 2001 and as far as I can tell are still selling that exact version) on the laptop. That way I can actually upload stuff like the updates to Oi Yanks No to my sites. And yes, for the nitpickers, it does include finally correcting the James Nicoll quote on the front page.
Actually, question regarding OYN : from searches and link searches, it appears about all of 2 sites have a permanent link to OYN. But it gets loads of hits, and half the time when someone has an English question, or there's a debate on a forum, Oi Yanks No gets cited to and linked to. So how many of you buggers have it in your favourites?
